| Customer Reviews: Second Metal Straw Purchase July 4, 2010 A. Singleton (Shreveport, LA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had bought the narrow stainless steel straws a year ago for my boyfriend and he loved them (he has an aversion to plastic, so plastic straws are not an option for him). I purchased these wide straws so he could drink milkshakes easier. He has not actually used these wider straws yet, as he finds them to be comically large. While I agree with him that the size looks almost silly, I am quite sure they are much more effective for thicker drinks. Sorry to not be a huge help! The item arrived safely and in good condition.
Sturdy and Long-Lasting October 12, 2009 Gregory D. Leis (Grass Valley, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Pretty much just what I was looking for in a straw. For medical reasons, I have to drink everything through a straw, and most plastic straws a) are too small in diameter and b) are not very durable. Shipping on these was superb (although I live on the West Coast, so shipping was 2 business days from Washington state, their point of origin). The only problem with these is that they're very heavy and there's no purchase for your teeth, so it's difficult to keep the straw in your mouth unless you have very strong lips. I solved that problem by inserting heavy-gauge plastic tubing in the stainless straw so that my teeth have something to bite on.
